Start with the scope
A budget is meaningful only when the product count, batch sizes, development needs, packaging and launch services are defined. Our $10,000–$25,000 initial planning range is a starting point for a scoped project, not a fixed offer.
Keep three groups of costs visible
| Cost group | Questions to ask |
|---|---|
| Development and project work | What do concept, formulation, samples, design and project coordination include? What is quoted separately? |
| First-batch and delivery costs | What are the quantities and costs for product, packaging, testing, setup, freight and any applicable import charges? |
| Ongoing selling costs | What will storage, order fulfillment, sales-channel fees, advertising and repeat orders require? |
Check what “per unit” includes
For suitable product and batch configurations, production pricing can start from $3 per finished unit. This is a starting reference, not a fixed price for every formula or a guaranteed price at the 500-unit-per-SKU minimum. Formula complexity, fill volume, packaging, batch size and project requirements determine the quote.
Ask whether the quoted price includes the container, closure, decoration, label, carton, filling and packing. Request the assumptions behind shipping and import estimates. A cheaper unit may come with a larger minimum order and a higher total stock commitment.
Plan for decisions and changes
Agree how sample revisions, packaging changes, additional tests and supplier substitutions will be handled. Keep a separate contingency appropriate to the project rather than assuming every uncertainty is included in the headline price.
Start with a Product Launch Blueprint
The Product Launch Blueprint is a paid planning stage that turns your brief into an overall project plan. The Essential Blueprint starts at $249. The $499 Research Blueprint adds focused desk research, a refined brief and a more detailed roadmap. These fees cover planning; they do not include a finished formula, samples, testing, formal manufacturer quotes or production.
Bring the commercial and technical work together
Sergei builds the budget and coordinates commercial decisions. Valeria helps identify the product and technical requirements that affect scope. We show studio fees separately from outside costs so you can see the commitments before approving the next stage.
Explore the project planning optionsMatch packaging quantities to the production plan
A minimum of 500 units per SKU applies to one distinct product variant. The packaging supplier may require larger orders for a custom colour, direct print or specific component. We compare available stock packs, show additional commitments separately, send packaging samples and coordinate the agreed testing and marketing renderings.
