Use the same brief

Give each shortlisted manufacturer the same product requirements, reference goals, packaging assumptions, quantities and intended market. Record where an offer differs so that apparently similar prices are not treated as equivalent.

Review six areas together

  1. Product and process fit. Can the supplier make the required texture, format and batch size? How are samples and production transfer handled?
  2. Quality evidence. What testing, specifications and supporting documentation are included or separately scoped?
  3. Commercial commitment. What are the minimum order, setup costs, deposits and repeat-order terms?
  4. Total delivery cost. What is included in the quotation, and who arranges freight, import handling and delivery to the agreed destination?
  5. Rights and handover. What formula, process and supplier information will be available to the brand, and on what terms?
  6. Continuity. How are raw-material changes, packaging availability, reorders and technical questions managed?

Compare suppliers, not assumptions about countries

A US, European or Chinese option needs to be assessed on its own proposal. Neither quality nor suitability follows automatically from location. For cross-border options, add transport, import coordination and the requirements of the US market to the discussion.

Keep technical and commercial decisions connected

Sergei compares prices, quantities, payment terms and project implications. Valeria reviews the formula, packaging and technical fit. Our report brings both views together, while the final manufacturer choice remains yours.

Ask what happens after batch one

A supplier should be evaluated for repeat production as well as the launch. Clarify reorder quantities, expected lead times, access to packaging and how changes will be approved.

If an affiliated production facility appears in our shortlist, we identify the relationship. For a formula custom-developed in your project, we arrange the transfer of formula rights, manufacturing technology and all ingredient supplier details under the agreement.
